Export Opportunities
Lumber
Container loading available at Korbel mill location on lumber and logs:
- Containers are loaded and shipped to ports in Oregon and California.
- Opportunity for break bulk shipments locally out of Eureka, California (to include both lumber and/or logs).
- Primary focus of lumber export is on redwood and Douglas-fir Lumber.
- Download our full selection of Douglas-fir products and American Lumber Standard (ALS) sizes here
- Redwood lumber available in Common and Heart grades. (Proprietary grades also available upon request)
Our mill has ability to manufacture finished lumber to a variety of metric thicknesses and widths.
- Our mill has intrinsic capability to provide a variety of export grades in both redwood and Douglas-fir.
- We can meet or exceed the necessary Phytosanitary Certification testing procedures. Confirming documentation for the appropriate certification will be provided prior to shipment.
- Our mill will satisfy and comply with all USDA export shipping requirements for lumber exported from California. The USDA has a Phytosanitary engineer located in Humboldt County, California.
- Our kilns have been heat treated certified by the Redwood Grade Inspection Service. The appropriate documentation and corresponding certificates will be supplied prior to shipment.
Wood Chips

Owner of Samoa Chip Export facility (formerly North Coast Fiber)
- Facility currently undergoing renovations and expected to be operational in mid-2012.
- Available supply Douglas-fir and tanoak chips.
- Export dock located on Humboldt Bay, California.
Logs
Export log opportunities are available in a wide range of species: Douglas-fir, hem-fir, spruce and redwood.
